Big Cartel Feature

Big Cartel celebrated opening their 100,000 customer's online shop by featuring the artist and surprising her with a cake! I ventured to her Brooklyn studio to help Big Cartel capture the surprise and photograph her amazing jewelry and shop. Congrats Lillian Crowe!

New York City Skyline

Happy 4th of July! I will always love this skyline, from a Brooklyn rooftop, especially with an amazing sunset.

Power Street Cats

NYC has an overwhelming amount of feral/stray cats on the streets, including my block. I recently became involved with the city's TNR (trap-neuter-return) program to help these feral cats live healthier and safer lives. These two are some of the offspring from the feral cats on my street. At only three weeks young, they are keepers for me! Summer and Dave

My beautiful cousin Summer and Dave were married over the weekend in San Diego, California. I flew out to capture the memories for them. It was a great time catching up with family and photographing the wedding for them!

Vegan Delights

A little personal fact about me - I believe in a vegan diet and one of the outcomes is my love for vegan food and photographing it to share with the world illustrating how delicious vegan food really is. For Easter Sunday a bunch of us went to Candle 79 and had an amazing brunch! Tofu Scramble and for dessert Cannolis and Strawberry Pie!

Spring!

From snow to flowers, spring has sprung in Brooklyn. And this also means the Cherry Blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I made a trip out this year and they were in full bloom. Beautiful!

February Snow

This winter NYC has actually seen a lot of snow! But last week we got hit with the biggest storm of the season. I was out and about all day so I brought my camera along. And then finally had the motivation to get up to Central Park and capture some of the moments of the storm that night. Winter Wonderland it was, and the whole city came out to enjoy!

Nisza Look Book

I had a great opportunity collaborating with a good pal of mine, Atsu Saisho, for the Holiday '09 Look Book for NISZA clothing line, by designer Lee Ann Kidd. This was the first time Atsu and I had the chance to work "professionally" together and I had a fantastic time shooting these beautiful pieces. Atsu is a great art director and book designer. Baby Eisley

On my recent trip to San Diego I got the pleasant surprise my friend Mark and his wife Leanne had a newborn baby! Just 14 days young when I met her...Eisley showed me all sides of her personality during our photo shoot.

Nova

I had the pleasure of photographing Nova the other day. She brought along her favorite dress up mask and we went to her favorite park for the afternoon. It was fantastic with all the fall colors and leafs everywhere!

The Great Salt Lake

I am back from my first trip to Salt Lake City! Perfect time of year to visit transitioning into winter... the weather was so lovely and these clouds! We took a drive out to the Great Salt Lake and Salt Flats where I captured some of these images...

Juliette Lewis Irving Plaza

Juliette Lewis and her new band, "..and the New Romantiques" hit up NYC playing songs from their new album Terra Incognita. Newly signed with The End Records, they invited me out to shoot some of her set. As always, a great natural performer.

Horseshoe Grand Canyon

The other day I came across this old file, actually 3 files, that I had shot years ago on a trip through Utah-Zion Park and Arizona-Coral Pink Sand Dunes and parts of the Grand Canyon. We had been searching for this beautiful landmark and after a few dirt roads and a hike finally found it. Back then I did not have a wide enough lens and took this image in 3 parts. Here is the final result after piecing them together!

Willie Ames

While on his 50 state tour, Willie stopped by NYC and my Brooklyn apartment for a few days. He is touring with his latest album and hopefully coming to a city near YOU! I was able to capture some promo shots for him while he was here and I also was able to catch an awesome set he played here at a cafe in Brooklyn one night. Manhattanhedge

Check this out... only twice a year will you see a sunset like this in Manhattan, a perfect alignment between the east and west axis of the streets' grid... representing the summer solstice and winter solstice.
